LONG HAUL goes to the UK

Posted by Doug on November 2nd, 2007

LONG HAUL BIG HEARTS is showcasing at the Sheffield DocFest Videotheque between November 7 and 11 in England. The three time award winning film about an ordinary guy who did something extra-ordinary was picked as a ‘best-bet’ by every TV book and newspaper in Canada for its World Television Premiere on VisionTV in the summer of 2007.

Sharon Baker, founder of the Hearts and Minds Film Festival in Dover Delaware where the film won it’s top award, said that Long Haul embodies the best about the human spirit. She said “It was for me, about the ‘power of one’. One person against a gigantic system that is not delivering while people are suffering and one guy says, you know what ‘I’m going to make a difference; I’m going to do something.’ To me that was enormously powerful, moving and exemplary. I think you want to teach children how to be charitable and kind in a divisive and mean world, they should take a look at this film, because this says, I don’t care how big the machine is, I’m going to take it on and I’m going to do something, because I’m moved as a human being and I’m going to take it into my own hands and give it a whirl. “

International Distribution is being handled by Ellis Entertainment and interested buyers of the film should contact sales@ellisent.com. +1-416-924-2186 ext. 228
